British Woman Dies in Tragic Fall in Phuket
PHUKET — A 59-year-old British woman, identified only as Bruce, has died after falling from a steep incline in Patong, Phuket, in the early hours of June 4. The tragic accident occurred as she and her partner, Raynor, were returning to their hotel following a night out. Authorities confirmed her death at Patong Hospital shortly after the incident.

According to police reports, the couple had dined at a local restaurant before making their way back to their hotel in the Patong subdistrict. As they ascended a steep path leading to the hotel, Bruce lost her balance and fell approximately six to seven metres.
The fall inflicted severe injuries, including a broken neck, fractured nose, and trauma to her wrist and ankle. Emergency responders from the Kusoldharm Foundation arrived quickly and transported her to Patong Hospital, where medical staff attempted to resuscitate her. Despite their efforts, Bruce succumbed to her injuries.

Police conducted an initial investigation at the hospital and confirmed the details of the accident. A post-mortem examination is underway, conducted jointly by local authorities and hospital staff to formally establish the cause of death.
The British embassy has been notified and is assisting with the repatriation process and communicating with the victim’s family. Bruce’s partner, Raynor, remains deeply affected by the incident.
