PATTAYA – A brazen act of vandalism was captured on surveillance cameras early Tuesday morning when an unidentified foreign man broke into a rescue volunteer station, causing extensive damage before fleeing the scene.

The incident occurred around 1:00 AM on May 20th at the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Unit’s checkpoint booth on Sukhumvit Road. CCTV footage shows a large-built European man forcing open the booth’s sliding glass door and rifling through its contents. The intrusion left the door shattered and a life-saving defibrillator severely damaged.
According to a rescue unit representative, volunteers were away responding to an emergency call when the break-in occurred. Upon their return, they discovered the destruction and reviewed security footage, which clearly identified the perpetrator. Shockingly, the suspect later came back to the area but denied any involvement when confronted by volunteers, even as they presented him with the video evidence.

With no cooperation from the vandal, the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Unit filed an official police report at Pattaya City Police Station, submitting the CCTV footage and damaged equipment as evidence. Authorities are now working to identify the foreign national and pursue legal action for property destruction.
“This booth is vital for emergency operations, and damaging it puts lives at risk,” said a rescue volunteer. “We hope police can track him down quickly.”
