Two Arrested After Cocaine Parcel Intercepted at Suvarnabhumi Airport
BANGKOK — Two suspects tied to a Vietnamese drug network operating in Thailand have been arrested after customs officials at Suvarnabhumi Airport intercepted a parcel from the United States containing three kilograms of cocaine valued at 10 million baht.

The shipment, declared as a “Circuit Wel Fixture Tooling Plate” weighing 21.8 kilograms, arrived on August 21. During a routine inspection, the Airport Interdiction Task Force and narcotics police discovered three packages of white flakes hidden within the aluminum plate, which tested positive for cocaine.
Customs Department spokesman Panthong Loykulnan announced the seizure at a briefing in Klong Toey on Wednesday. Authorities conducted a controlled delivery to the intended address on Ratchaprarop Road in Bangkok on Tuesday, where they arrested a Thai man who accepted the parcel and a Vietnamese accomplice who had been staying illegally in Thailand.

Both suspects have prior records linked to transnational drug smuggling and are believed to be part of a Vietnamese-organized network distributing narcotics in Thailand. They remain in custody pending further investigation and legal proceedings.
