The discovery was made after X-ray scans detected anomalies in the suspect’s luggage, prompting a detailed inspection. Officers uncovered 12 black plastic-wrapped packages concealed in a specially designed compartment, all testing positive for methamphetamine. The haul, with an estimated street value of AU$61,500 (1.3 million baht), was seized, and the suspect is now under interrogation by anti-narcotics authorities.

This arrest adds to the growing tally of drug seizures at Suvarnabhumi, where authorities have recorded 197 interceptions since October, including heroin, cocaine, and various forms of methamphetamine. The case highlights ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking through Thailand’s major international gateway.
