Mexican-Canadian Tourist Dies in Fall from Phuket Hotel Balcony
PHUKET – A tourist holding Mexican and Canadian citizenship died on Monday afternoon after falling from the ninth floor of a hotel in Phuket’s Patong district. The 33-year-old woman, identified only as Miss Denise, was found in the hotel’s parking area on Thaweewong Road shortly before 2 p.m.

Hotel staff reported that the guest had checked in alone at approximately 1:30 p.m. for a single-night stay. Police Captain Channarong Prakongkuea confirmed coordination with the Mexican Embassy and other agencies is underway. The victim’s dual nationality has necessitated international diplomatic liaison.
