Cambodian Rockets Target Thai Border Hospital for Second Time
SURIN – Rockets fired from Cambodia struck near Phanom Dong Rak Hospital in Surin province on Wednesday morning, marking the second time the medical facility has come under fire in recent months. The hospital was previously damaged during border clashes in July.

The Second Army Region reported that six rockets were launched toward the hospital and its vicinity in Phanom Dong Rak district at 8:40 a.m., forcing the evacuation of medical staff and patients for their safety. Authorities confirmed the rockets landed at least one kilometer from the hospital building.
Clashes continued on Wednesday across 12 locations in four provinces: one in Buri Ram, five in Surin, four in Si Sa Ket, and two in Ubon Ratchathani. The Thai military stated that Cambodian forces fired approximately 5,000 rockets and deployed suicide drones in multiple border areas on Tuesday, including Chong An Ma and Chong Bok in Ubon Ratchathani, Thiang Ta Mok in Si Sa Ket, and Chong Khana and Prasat Ta Khwai in Surin.

According to the Second Army, the recent hostilities have resulted in four Thai soldiers killed and 68 injured, while 61 Cambodian soldiers were reported dead. The number of wounded Cambodian troops has not yet been estimated.
In a separate operation, the First Army Region, which oversees the Central Plains, reported that Thai soldiers reclaimed an area previously encroached upon by Cambodian forces in Ban Nong Ya Kaew, Sa Kaeo. During the operation, troops discovered anti-personnel landmines and improvised explosive devices planted in the area.

The First Army also attempted to retake another encroached zone in Ban Nong Chan, Sa Kaeo, but faced strong resistance as Cambodian forces fired rockets at the location. Five Thai soldiers were injured during the operation.
