German Couple Injured in Violent Khao Lak Home Invasion
KHAO LAK – A German couple sustained head injuries during a violent home invasion in the early hours of October 11, when an intruder broke into their residence through the roof and attacked them with a liquor bottle. The incident occurred in the Khuekkhak subdistrict of Takua Pa district, prompting an immediate police response.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Jaran Srirak of Khao Lak Police Station was notified of the assault at approximately 2:00 a.m. Officers arriving at the scene in Soi Khao Wong discovered blood spatter on the bedroom floor and bed, along with a liquor bottle believed to be the weapon used in the attack. Investigation revealed that the assailant had entered by removing a roof tile at the rear of the property and descending through a kitchen ceiling panel.

The victims, identified as 61-year-old Mr. T. and 58-year-old Mrs. B., reported being asleep when the attack occurred. They stated they only saw the intruder from behind as he fled through the kitchen window toward the rear of the house. The couple subsequently guided investigators through the premises, indicating the attack site and the escape route used by the suspect.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Jaran has assumed control of the investigation, with support from Phang Nga Provincial Forensic Officers who are conducting a thorough examination of the scene for DNA, fingerprints, and other physical evidence. The case is being overseen by the Deputy Superintendent of Investigation at Khao Lak Police Station. Authorities have not yet determined whether the incident is connected to other burglaries in the area and are urging residents to report any suspicious activity to local police.
