American Man Falls to His Death from Pattaya Condominium
PATTAYA – A 72-year-old American national died in the early hours of Sunday morning after falling from a condominium building in the Nong Prue subdistrict. Police were notified of the incident at approximately 2:10 a.m. after the man’s body was discovered in the building’s car park.

Officers arriving at the scene found the man lying face down in a pool of blood, wearing a chequered shirt and shorts. The impact had broken several bones. According to investigators, the man had been residing alone in a fifth-floor unit of the condominium. A preliminary examination of his room revealed no signs of a struggle, but a handwritten note was recovered. The note contained a farewell message and alluded to financial difficulties.

Authorities reviewed closed-circuit television footage which showed the man taking an elevator to the 11th floor. The recording depicted him climbing onto a chair, exiting through a window, and jumping. Police have stated they will formally notify the United States Embassy of the death and that the body will be transferred to the Police General Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
