Rescue workers provided immediate emergency care at the scene for her severe injuries, which included a severely broken right arm and significant bleeding from the mouth and nose resulting from head trauma. She was subsequently rushed to Pattaya City Hospital for urgent medical treatment.
The victim’s mother, 58-year-old Ms. Puangpetch, told police she was asleep in their shared eighth-floor unit when she was notified of the incident by a building security guard. She expressed profound shock upon discovering her daughter injured on the ground below. Ms. Puangpetch explained that her daughter had suffered a stroke more than a year ago and held a disability card for mobility and physical impairment. She revealed that her daughter had been experiencing depression in recent months, exacerbated by harassment from neighbors who mocked her disability, and had only recently begun taking antidepressant medication.
Police have opened an investigation to determine the exact circumstances leading to the fall. Authorities are examining whether the incident was a tragic accident or a deliberate act of self-harm influenced by the victim’s reported emotional struggles.
