Emergency responders from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation arrived at the scene to assist the 57-year-old victim, identified only as P.S., who suffered injuries to his head, right arm, and right leg. He received immediate first aid before being transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Authorities reported that decorative shim plates detached from the building’s exterior but first struck a steel structure near the pool before hitting the ground, lessening the impact. Witnesses at the scene, including a swimmer in the pool, said the collapse happened suddenly, but others nearby managed to avoid being hit.
