The incident originated on September 8, 2025, when shop staff discovered the valuable bracelet missing during a routine inventory check. Review of security footage revealed a male customer, later identified as Mr. Li Z., entering the establishment at 11:08 a.m. Dressed in jeans, a striped T-shirt, and a cap, the suspect was captured on camera discreetly concealing the bracelet in his pocket while pretending to examine it.

Officers from Phra Ratchawang Police Station launched an immediate investigation, collecting surveillance footage and other forensic evidence. They subsequently identified the suspect’s location at a local hotel and obtained an arrest warrant. Police confirmed that Mr. Li’s facial features matched those visible in the CCTV recording. The suspect was finally apprehended in the hotel lobby at 5:30 p.m. on October 10 after arriving there at approximately 3:00 p.m.

Investigation records indicate that Mr. Li, a resident of China’s Hunan province, frequently visits Thailand for brief stays not exceeding three days. On the day of the alleged theft, he had brought two sets of clothing and reportedly planned to depart for China immediately afterward. Authorities have formally charged him with theft and will proceed with legal prosecution.
