Flooding Persists in 15 Provinces as Waters Rise in Ayutthaya and Udon Thani
BANGKOK – Widespread flooding continues to affect 15 provinces across Thailand, with the Central Plain bearing the brunt of the inundation and rising water levels reported in Ayutthaya and Udon Thani. The situation remains fluid as authorities monitor the evolving conditions.

According to the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, eight Central Plain provinces are currently experiencing flooding: Uthai Thani, Chai Nat, Sing Buri, Ang Thong, Suphan Buri, Ayutthaya, Pathum Thani, and Nakhon Pathom. Ayutthaya has emerged as the most severely impacted province nationwide, with rising floodwaters affecting 49,873 households across twelve districts. Water levels in the seven other central provinces have either stabilized or begun to recede.

In the northern region, flooding persists in four provinces: Phitsanulok, Sukhothai, Phichit, and Nakhon Sawan. While Nakhon Sawan maintains stable flood levels, the other three northern provinces are seeing a gradual reduction in water levels.

The northeastern provinces of Ubon Ratchathani and Udon Thani are also affected, with stable conditions reported in the former and rising waters in the latter. In the East, only Chachoengsao province remains flooded, though water levels there are now falling. Authorities continue to assess the situation and provide assistance to affected residents.
