Earthquake hits Kanchanaburi Sunday morning

An earthquake, measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale, hit Sangkhla district of the western province of Kanchanaburi at about 3am Sunday morning, the Meteorological Department reports.

Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai buildings damaged by Myanmar quake

The epicentre of the tremor was located at about six kilometres below ground in Nong Lu sub-district and was caused by the movement of the Three Pagoda fault line.
