The Tham Luang cave (ถ้ำหลวงนางนอน) or Tham Luang Nang Non (Great Cave of the Sleeping Lady) is a popular 10 kilometres long karstic cave complex beneath Doi Nang Non, a mountain range on the border between Thailand and Myanmar in Mae Sai, Chiang Rai Province.

The cave has many deep recesses, narrow passages and tunnels winding under hundreds of meters of limestone strata

Tham Luang cave was popular among the local residents, but recently has become famous around the world because on 23 June 2018, a group of 12 boys aged between 11 and 17 from a junior football team named the Wild Boars and their 25-year-old coach were trapped in the dark cave tunnels by a sudden monsoon flooded the cave.

Tham Luang is also the site of a rescue operation to find and evacuate the 12 local junior football team and coach trapped in the cave. Rescue operations began on Sunday 8 July 2018.
