Six Vietnamese trawlers anchored at Songkhla lake pending court trial were destroyed by a predawn fire in what local police suspected was deliberately lit.

The vessels were among a hundred of fishing boats forfeited for alleged entering the Thai territorial waters illegally. They are anchored in Songkhla lake in Muang district pending court procedure.
