NAKHON PHANOM, July 27 – Local authorities seized 15 processed Siamese Rosewood logs in this northeastern province while a wood smuggling gang was transporting to Tha Uthen district heading to the Mekong River.
The logs, believed to be worth at least Bt500,000, were being smuggled to be sold in neighbouring countries. The contraband truck driver escaped in the woods.
