Thailand: 34 deaths reported from floods in 13 provinces

BANGKOK, 24 October 2010 (NNT) – 34 have been reported dead in 13 provinces hard hit by floods during October 10-24, according to National Institute of Emergency Management (NIEM).

National Institute of Emergency Management (NIEM) said that the number of deaths reported by 13 flood-affected provinces for a period of 15 days, October 10 – October 24, had reached 34 .

6 deaths have been reported in each of the provinces of Nakorn Rachasima, Buriram and Lopburi; 3 each in Kon kaen, Petchabun and Rayong; 2 deaths were reported in Chayaphum, while Trad, Saraburi, Ayutthaya, Nonthaburi and Uthaithani saw 1 death in each province.
