Swedish Groom-to-Be Killed in Rayong Motorcycle Crash
RAYONG – A 47-year-old Swedish man died in a tragic motorcycle accident on January 6 in Klaeng district, Rayong, after losing control of his bike and colliding with a roadside barrier. The victim, who was preparing to marry his Thai girlfriend, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police from Klaeng Police Station responded to the incident around 5 p.m. on a curved section of road. They found the man, who has not been publicly named, with severe head injuries and a broken neck approximately 20 meters from his damaged white Honda PCX motorcycle.
A security guard who witnessed the crash told investigators that the motorcyclist was traveling at over 80 kilometers per hour. The man reportedly lost control on the curve, slammed into a guardrail, and was thrown from the bike as it spun and struck an electricity pole. The impact with the pole proved fatal.

The victim’s Thai girlfriend arrived at the scene overwhelmed with grief. She shared with police that the couple had been planning to marry and had already completed paperwork for a spouse visa, with a trip to Sweden scheduled for March.
