UAE Tourist Crashes Motorbike Through Phuket Pharmacy in Shocking Incident
Phuket – A 24-year-old tourist from the United Arab Emirates caused chaos in Patong on Thursday afternoon after losing control of his motorbike and plowing through the glass front of a local pharmacy. The dramatic crash, captured on CCTV and widely shared online, left the storefront shattered and bystanders stunned.

The accident occurred at approximately 3:05 p.m. at Earth Pharmacy, a busy establishment in the heart of Patong. According to eyewitnesses, the man had been revving the motorcycle’s engine aggressively while parked outside with a female companion, also believed to be from the UAE. Without warning, the bike suddenly lurched forward, smashing through the pharmacy’s entrance in a shower of broken glass.
“He was revving the engine loudly, and then—boom—the bike just shot straight into the shop,” said a pharmacist who was on duty at the time. “The woman with him immediately called the police.”
Miraculously, no customers or staff inside the pharmacy were injured, though the impact caused extensive damage to the storefront. The rider, whose name has not been released, suffered minor cuts from the shattered glass but declined hospital treatment.

Police arrived quickly to assess the scene and are now investigating whether the tourist will face charges. Authorities confirmed that he will be held financially responsible for all repair costs. The incident has reignited concerns about reckless riding among tourists in Phuket, where rented motorbikes are a common but often poorly regulated mode of transport.
Local business owners have called for stricter enforcement of road safety rules, particularly in busy tourist areas like Patong, where similar accidents have occurred in the past. As investigations continue, the UAE tourist is expected to settle damages with the pharmacy before leaving Thailand.
