PATTAYA – Chonburi immigration police have dismantled a suspected safe house for illegal foreign workers in Pattaya, arresting 15 Indian nationals who had overstayed their visas. The raid, conducted on November 17th at a property in Soi Sukhumvit Pattaya 57, also uncovered two additional Indian nationals holding valid tourist visas who are now under investigation for potential connections to the illegal network.

Led by Pol Col Napasphong Khositsuriyamanee, officers became suspicious after observing a man acting nervously outside the residence. Upon entering, they discovered the group distributed throughout multiple rooms. Preliminary investigations suggest the workers were brought to Thailand by an Indian broker who promised employment before confining them until their legal permission to stay expired.

Authorities believe the property functioned as a temporary holding facility before workers were dispatched to various jobs throughout the city. The case highlights ongoing concerns about illegal labor networks operating in Pattaya and the exploitation of foreign nationals. Immigration officials plan to deport all 15 overstayers while expanding their investigation to identify and prosecute the brokers behind the operation.
