The Defence Ministry’s national defence technology institute has been developing its own bomb-defusing robots since last year with the hope that they will be deployed for service in the next three years.

General Sompong Mukdasakul, the institute director, said Thursday that the prototype robots developed by the institute were capable of defusing bombs.
