UK honorary consul visits Hmong girls mistakenly accused as thieves

CHIANG MAI, 13 October 2016 (NNT) – A honorary consul of the United Kingdom in Chiang Mai province visited a couple of Hmong girls and offered to provide aid for them.

Ben Robert Svasti, the U.K. honorary consul attached to Chiang Mai and chairman of FOCUS, visited Tidarat and Kalyani Lawang in provincial seat area of the northern province following the event in which the Hmong girls had been mistakenly accused of stealing a watch from a Briton tourist.
