U.S. authorities arrests ex-monk Nen Kham

BANGKOK, 22 July 2016 (NNT) – Ex-monk “Luang Pu Nen Kham” or Wiraphon Sukphon has been arrested by U.S. authorities in California. He is being brought back to be tried in Thailand.

Director-General of the Department of Special Investigations Pol.Col. Phaisit Wongmueang said U.S. authorities were filing charges against Wiraphon as requested by Thailand. If he denied his charges, he would have to fight the case in the U.S. If he pleaded guilty, he would be extradited and tried in Thailand, said the DSI chief.
