5 human trafficking suspects in prostitution case arrested

BANGKOK, 4 August 2015 (NNT) – Police officers have arrested five people alleged of deceiving Thai women into prostitution in China. Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police Pol.Gen. Somyot Phumphanmuang said the arrest showed the international community that Thailand tackled human trafficking seriously.

The national police chief said in a press conference that more than 20 Thai women had been deceived to work in a restaurant in Chongqing through the Facebook page “JENMODELING.”
