High-ranking army officer faces arrest warrant in human trafficking cases

BANGKOK, 1 June 2015 (NNT) – Deputy Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police Pol.Gen. Ek Angsananont called a meeting between investigators and prosecutors on the progress of the investigation into human trafficking cases in southern provinces. The cases will be forwarded to the Attorney-General on 20 June 2015.

Pol.Gen. Ek said the investigations had very much progressed with sufficient evidence to press charges against the detained suspects.
