Fake bomb traced back to shop in Samut Prakan

A hoax bomb, found at the mouth of Soi Pattanakorn 65 in Bangkok’s Prawet district yesterday morning, was traced back to a shop in Samrongtai area of Samut Prakan province, Metropolitan Police Bureau (MPB) commissioner Pol Lt-General Sriwara Rangsipramanakul said.

The item – made of seven cores of tissue rolls and other items to look like an explosive – was apparently sold at the shop at Bt800 a piece.
