Flash floods, landslide warning in 20 provinces of north and northeast on 20-21 August

BANGKOK, 20 August 2014 (NNT) –Twenty provinces in northern and northeastern part of Thailand are warned of flash floods and landslides during 20th and 21st August 2014.

Over 20th-21st Aug, a southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand, and a strong monsoon trough lies across Myanmar, Laos and upper Vietnam. Increasing rain is likely over Thailand with isolated heavy rain in the upper North, and upper Northeast.
