BANGKOK, 10 April 2014 (NNT) – The Army Chief General Prayuth Chan-ocha has reiterated that a coup d’etat is not the ultimate solution to the political conflict that has dragged on for more than eight years.

General Prayuth said the army wouldn’t do any favors for any side, but will instead act on its own judgment. He also asked the people to have faith in the army, reassuring them that the military’s main duty is to protect the people and the nation.
