Thailand repatriates 13 Rohingyas to Bangladesh

BANGKOK, 15 October 2013 (NNT) – Thailand has sent 13 Rohingyas who were arrested for illegal entry early this year back to their motherland of Bangladesh.

Immigration Police Commissioner Major General Panu Kerdlabpol, along with other Thai officials, has seen off 13 migrants at Suvarnabhumi Airport. The 13 Rohingyas entered Thailand illegally on January 9, 2013.

Thailand has so far this year picked up over 2,000 illegal migrants trying to enter the country.
