Krabi International Airport to expand terminal and parking

BANGKOK, 16 October 2013 (NNT) – The Department of Civil Aviation has plans to expand Krabi International Airport, using its 2014 expenditure budget, with an aim to accommodate 3 million passengers by 2015.

Deputy Director-General for Airports Seree Jitsopha said that the expansion will cover both the passenger terminal and parking space. Mr. Seree said that the renovation is deemed necessary as the number of visitors to the province by air has increased continuously and is likely to hit the target of 3 million passengers by 2015.

According to him, Chinese nationals form the largest groups of visitors to the province, being the regular visitors all year round.
