Three nabbed for allegedly murdering village leader in waste dispute

BANGKOK, April 13 – Three men were arrested in connection with the murder of an environmental activist in Bangkok’s suburban province of Chachoengsao, police said today.

One of the suspects, Flight Sgt Anu Boonpeng, confessed that he was the gunman who opened fire at Prajob Nao-opas,, chief of a village in Phanom Sarakham district of Chachoengsao, on Feb 25. The two others have denied the charges.
