ANG THONG, July 1 – Land subsidence in the central province of Ang Thong caused damages to nine houses while the cause of the sinkholes remains unknown.

Chatchai Yensuang, Assistant district officer on Sunday inspected the area in the provincial seat where a road and housing foundations along the road cracked and subsided. Some houses subsided to almost one metres below the road surface.
