BANGKOK, 12 July 2011 (NNT) – The last cabinet meeting under the administration of outgoing Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva is taking place today, according to Deputy Secretary-General to the Prime Minister and Acting Government Spokesperson Panitan Watanayagorn.
High on the agenda are the extension of the emergency decree in the three southernmost provinces for another three months and the approval for the draft report of meeting of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to be presented to the upcoming ASEAN Summit.
Moreover, the cabinet will give an approval in principle to a royal decree convening the first meeting of the House of Representatives; however, the specific House opening date will be set only after the Election Commission has certified at least 95% of the new MPs, or 475 elected candidates.
