10 women rescued from alleged sex operation in Prachuap, Thailand

Prachuap Khiri Khan’s Muang district police Tuesday arrested two karaoke bar operators and rescued six Thai women and four Lao females aged 14-24.

Rampeung Thanompeud, 48, and Samrerng Yodpan, 26, were initially charged with procuring women under 18 for prostitution and human trafficking, but the duo denied the charges. Police also seized Bt7,500 cash.
