Mr Frederic Granier, a 46-year-old Frenchman, is about 50,000 baht poorer after he was relieved of a two-baht weighted gold necklace and its attached Buddha following a snatch and grab that took place on Naklua road (Pattaya) on Monday.

He was driving a motorbike, his Thai girlfriend was on the back and one Thai male on another motorbike came past, reached out and snatched the gold necklace.
