BANGKOK, April 11 – Thailand wants to close its camps housing displaced Myanmar nationals and repatriate over 100,000 persons back to homeland following their country’s first election, according to the Thai National Security Council (NSC) chief.
NSC Secretary General Tawin Pleansri told reporters after an NSC meeting at Government House Monday afternoon chaired by Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva and attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs Kasit Piromya, armed forces commanders-in-chief and national security related agencies.
