Thai Police: Red Shirts rally won’t turn to unrest

Intelligence reports confirmed that there is no sign of possible violence during the planned march in Bangkok by the red-shirt people group on Sunday, Special Branch commander Pol Lt Gen Trithos Ronritthiwichai said on Saturday.

The red-shirt supporters of the United front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) will tomorrow hold a procession through areas in central Bangkok where violence incidents between the red-shirts protesters and security forces took place.

The march is aimed at demanding the release of detained red-shirt leaders.
