Tourists flock to see Buddha procession in Phuket

Phuket, 10 October 2010 (NNT) – The atmosphere of the vegetarian festival in the southern island of Phuket is lively with tourists flocking to see the Buddha procession.

People mostly dressed in white gathered at the shrines and around the city to see the Buddha procession, which was going around the City of Phuket. Different shrines organize their own processions on different dates.

The vegetarian festival is practiced nationwide mostly by Chinese descendants. Phuket has been very famous for the festival celebration.

  1. I got to see the Buddha procession and I stayed in a wonderful Phuket resort. Everything is so beautiful in Phuket. I think if i ever go back, It will be for good.
