Thai Police arrests 10 million baht fraud title deed gang

BANGKOK, 10 October 2010 (NNT) – Police have arrested a gang of criminals who forged land title deeds and used them as collateral for loans and escaped after the loans had been secured. The accused confessed that they have done it almost around the country with at least 10 million Baht.

Police yesterday nabbed three suspects on charges of forgery and embezzlement. Police also found several pieces of evidence including fake identity cards, falsified land title deeds, loan documents, two cell phones, and 500,000 baht in cash.
