Tragic Night Blaze Claims Life of Four-Year-Old Boy in Nakhon Sawan

NAKHON SAWAN – A devastating night-time fire completely destroyed a two-storey wooden house in Nakhon Sawan on Friday, claiming the life of a four-year-old boy. The blaze, which erupted in the early hours of 12 December, forced six other family members to flee in panic from their home in Moo 8, Ban Don Du, Bang Muang Subdistrict.

Officers from Bang Muang Police Station alerted fire crews from Bueng Senat SAO and Bang Muang SAO, who battled intense flames that had already engulfed the property. The wooden structure caused the fire to spread rapidly, consuming the house. By the time firefighters brought the blaze under control, the child was found deceased inside his burnt-out ground-floor bedroom, where he had been sleeping alone.

Family members resting on the second floor were awakened by the child’s cries and attempted a rescue but were driven back by flames that had already taken hold of the lower storey. Bang Muang subdistrict headman Tinnakorn Munsap confirmed that everyone at the scene assisted fully once the alarm was raised. He expressed his condolences, noting the fire’s rapid spread made it impossible to reach the boy in time. All other occupants were on the upper floor during the incident.

The homeowner, 60-year-old grandmother Pamas, remained distraught after losing her grandson. She described the fire as spreading too rapidly for anyone to act, leaving the family powerless as the wooden structure was quickly overtaken. All possessions inside the house were destroyed.
