Quick-Acting Lifeguards Rescue Unconscious Russian Tourist at Patong Beach

PHUKET – A Russian female tourist was rescued by lifeguards at Phuket’s Patong Beach after she was found floating unconscious in the sea. The incident occurred near a lifeguard post in Patong Bay on December 14 at approximately 10:25 a.m., drawing immediate attention from nearby beachgoers who alerted the stationed safety personnel.

Kuwaiti Tourists Attack Lifeguards at Phuket Beach

Lifeguards entered the water swiftly and retrieved the unresponsive woman, bringing her ashore where she showed no immediate signs of consciousness. They promptly administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on the beach, which helped restore some vital signs. Emergency responders then arranged her transport to Patong Hospital for further medical assessment.

Medical staff at the hospital later confirmed the tourist was in a safe and stable condition. Authorities have not released the woman’s identity or details regarding the cause of her loss of consciousness. No dangerous sea conditions were reported at the time, and the beach remained open to the public following the incident.

The rescue underscored the critical role of lifeguard patrols at one of Phuket’s busiest tourist destinations, with the proximity to a lifeguard center enabling a rapid response.
