The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Thappraya Road. Police identified the deceased as Mr. G., who had been staying alone in a fifth-floor room. Initial investigations revealed no signs of struggle or theft in the room, but evidence pointed to an attempted hanging in the bathroom using a towel tied to a clothes rail. The rail broke, after which Mr. G. reportedly jumped from the balcony.
Witnesses reported hearing noises resembling an argument before the fall. Diners at the restaurant below described a loud crash followed by blood dripping from the roof, prompting screams and evacuation. Rescue workers faced challenges retrieving the body due to its precarious position on the roof structure.
