Moroccan Female Tourist Dies After Fall from Bangkok Hotel Rooftop
BANGKOK — A 21-year-old Moroccan woman died in the early hours of Saturday after falling from the seventh-floor rooftop of a Sukhumvit hotel, where she had been arguing with her boyfriend after both consumed marijuana. The incident occurred at approximately 2:00 a.m. at a hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 13 in Watthana District.

According to police reports, the victim, identified as Ms. C, and her 19-year-old Moroccan boyfriend, Mr. Z, had checked into a fourth-floor room just hours earlier. The couple later went to the rooftop swimming pool area, where Mr. Z and another male friend were smoking marijuana. Ms. C also consumed the drug and subsequently expressed suicidal thoughts during an argument with her boyfriend.
Mr. Z stated that Ms. C suddenly moved to the balcony and jumped before he could intervene. A security guard heard a loud crash in the parking area and discovered her body near the hotel’s perimeter fence. Police found no physical injuries or signs of struggle on Mr. Z during their initial examination.

The body has been transferred to Chulalongkorn Hospital for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
