According to police reports, the victim, identified as Ms. C, and her 19-year-old Moroccan boyfriend, Mr. Z, had checked into a fourth-floor room just hours earlier. The couple later went to the rooftop swimming pool area, where Mr. Z and another male friend were smoking marijuana. Ms. C also consumed the drug and subsequently expressed suicidal thoughts during an argument with her boyfriend.

Mr. Z stated that Ms. C suddenly moved to the balcony and jumped before he could intervene. A security guard heard a loud crash in the parking area and discovered her body near the hotel’s perimeter fence. Police found no physical injuries or signs of struggle on Mr. Z during their initial examination.

Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage and witness statements to reconstruct the events leading to the fall. The body has been transferred to Chulalongkorn Hospital for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. The case highlights ongoing concerns about drug use and mental health among young tourists in Bangkok, prompting calls for heightened safety measures in hotel recreational areas.
