A motorcycle taxi driver seen in the video helping intervene, said the young man had earlier been outside a convenience store, shouting, challenging people walking past, and behaving inappropriately towards staff inside the shop before leaving the area to return to his accommodation. According to him, the man later walked past a group of Bolt motorcycle riders and again allegedly challenged them and behaved inappropriately, with the two sides having no prior dispute or knowledge of each other.

Police said the matter remains under examination because the social media footage shows only part of what happened, and officers have not established who started the confrontation or what caused it, with statements from those involved, witnesses, and other evidence needed before the facts can be fully determined and any legal process can proceed. The incident highlights ongoing concerns about street violence in Pattaya’s nightlife areas, as authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the clash.
