Chinese Nationals Stab Three Nightclub Guards in Pattaya Brawl

PATTAYA – A violent altercation at a popular nightclub in South Pattaya left three security guards stabbed and injured, with two in serious condition, late on December 28. The incident, involving a group of Chinese men, has raised safety concerns in the city’s entertainment districts and prompted a major police investigation.

Police and rescue teams were called to the venue at 11:49 p.m. after reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers learned that three guards had already been transported to the hospital with knife wounds. A Chinese man was also found injured at the scene, reportedly hurt during the confrontation.

According to witness accounts from staff and security personnel, the violence erupted after an earlier dispute inside the club. A group of three or four Chinese men, who had been drinking, were involved in an incident where one individual—referred to as “the boss”—allegedly grabbed and slapped a Thai woman on the buttocks in the middle of the venue. After guards intervened and asked the group to leave, the men reacted angrily, issuing threats and claiming to be part of a call center scam gang. They warned they would return with weapons for revenge.

After leaving briefly, one man dressed in black reportedly returned and attacked the guards with a knife, causing panic among staff and patrons. During the scuffle, another Chinese man sustained injuries amid the chaos outside. All wounded individuals were treated by emergency services before being taken to the hospital.

Police are reviewing CCTV footage from the club and surrounding areas to identify all parties involved and piece together the sequence of events. Investigators are also gathering witness statements and forensic evidence to support potential charges. Authorities have confirmed that efforts are underway to locate all suspects connected to the stabbing to ensure they face legal consequences. The incident has heightened anxiety among local nightlife businesses and workers regarding violence linked to disputes in entertainment venues.
