The suspect, believed to be a Chinese national between 35 and 40 years of age, was reportedly in a violent and incoherent state when officers approached him to investigate a disturbance. According to officials, the situation escalated rapidly when the man, who had been behaving erratically, suddenly pulled a pen from an officer’s own shirt pocket and stabbed the officer in the hand. The team quickly subdued the aggressive individual and took him into custody before transferring him to the Pattaya City Police Station for detention.

Witnesses at the scene confirmed the suspect’s heavily intoxicated condition. He described the individual as appearing drunk and disoriented before his demeanor turned suddenly aggressive during the questioning. The witness account suggested the stabbing occurred when the suspect, who initially seemed to be attempting to harm himself, instead injured the officer during the ensuing scuffle.
