Foreign Suspect Uses Dog as Distraction in Phuket Motorcycle Theft
PHUKET – A foreign man orchestrated an unusual motorcycle theft in Phuket by using a friendly interaction with a dog as a diversion before stealing the vehicle. The incident, which occurred on November 11 in the Samkong area, was captured on CCTV footage showing the suspect petting the animal outside a property before suddenly mounting the parked motorcycle and speeding away.

According to witnesses, the thief was last seen driving past Bangkok Hospital Phuket before disappearing from view. Authorities have noted similarities to a previous incident in Pattaya, where a foreign national was arrested on August 28 for allegedly stealing a motorcycle near Walking Street. In that case, quick-acting taxi drivers pursued and detained the suspect until police arrived.
