The incident occurred on Tuesday at Chiang Mai International Airport when airline staff determined the passenger’s medical condition posed a safety risk.

The tourist, who suffered a broken arm, dislocated neck, and inflamed lungs from an accident in Pai district, required oxygen support and nursing care during travel. Airline representatives declined to allow her onboard because they had not been notified in advance about her specific medical needs and dependencies.

After the passenger and her travel companions sought help, tourist police coordinated with the Indian consulate-general in Chiang Mai to arrange emergency assistance. The injured woman has been admitted to a public hospital where she will receive necessary medical treatment while authorities work with the airline to facilitate her safe return to India once her condition stabilizes.
