The disturbance began when a Bolt driver arrived at Pattaya City Police Station seeking assistance with a passenger who had defecated and urinated inside his car during a trip. The woman, identified as 41-year-old Ms. B, was reportedly severely intoxicated. The driver informed authorities that he sought only compensation for the cleaning costs and did not wish to file formal charges.
Ms. B’s foreign husband, present at the station, agreed to cover the cleaning expenses, resolving the initial dispute. However, the situation escalated when Ms. B, apparently overwhelmed by embarrassment and distress, suddenly ran across the street and jumped into the ocean. Police officers and bystanders immediately launched a rescue effort, spending over ten minutes attempting to coax her back to shore as her husband pleaded with her from the beach.

Rescuers eventually managed to lift the woman from the shallow waters where she had seated herself. She was observed crying uncontrollably, expressing profound shame over her actions. After sobering slightly, Ms. B offered apologies to the driver, police officers, and members of the public for the disturbance. All parties accepted her apology, and no further legal action was pursued.
