CHACHOENGSAO – A tragic discovery unfolded on Tuesday evening when a neighbor found the body of a 53-year-old Thai woman who had died by suicide inside her home, while her blind German husband waited outside unaware of the situation. Police were called to the two-story rental house in Khlong Udom Chonlachon subdistrict at approximately 6:30 p.m.

Authorities discovered the woman’s body beside the interior staircase while her 69-year-old husband, who lost his eyesight in a car accident, sat at an outdoor table. The discovery occurred when the husband asked a neighbor to switch on the house lights, illuminating the tragic scene. The widower informed investigators that his wife had returned home distressed earlier that day following a traffic accident where the other party demanded 40,000 baht in compensation – funds the couple did not possess.
