Authorities discovered the woman’s body beside the interior staircase while her 69-year-old husband, who lost his eyesight in a car accident, sat at an outdoor table. The couple had resided at the property for over a year, with neighbors regularly assisting the husband during his wife’s absences while she worked as a Bangkok taxi driver.

The discovery occurred when the husband asked a neighbor to switch on the house lights, illuminating the tragic scene. The widower informed investigators that his wife had returned home distressed earlier that day following a traffic accident where the other party demanded 40,000 baht in compensation – funds the couple did not possess.

Neighbors continue providing daily care and meals as arrangements are being made.
